On July 2nd, TCF was the recipient of a generous donation from the South Seminole Rotary Club. I am very grateful that they choose to support our chapter and thereby supporting the communities that we serve. The funds donated will be put to good use as the chapter continues to grow. We are especially thankful to Mr. Bob Levy and the Seminole Rotary Club members for selecting TCF as a worthwhile support group to receive a charitable gift. As our chapter continues to grow, we look to ways of reaching out by increasing community awareness and accessibility to TCF. The TCF-Orlando chapter will soon have its own website. Special thanks go out to Mr. Ray Rottach for volunteering to be our webmaster and designing this site to be accessible to all in need of support and information. We will keep you posted as to when this site becomes available. Also, I would like to invite you to attend the September 7th meeting for a presentation by Gary Vogel, L.M.H.C. Mr. Vogel is the president of HEAL (Helping Endure Infant Death). He has written two books on the subject, and is extensively involved in grief counseling in his private practice. Please join me in welcoming Gary to TCF. For more details on this presentation, please turn to page 7. Preparations are underway for the December Candlelight Ceremony. It will be held on Tuesday, December 7th. A flier with all the details is enclosed in this newsletter. For most members, this service is the most meaningful commemoration of the year in honor of our beloved children. Please mark your calendar to attend this very special memorial event. The bench at the Maitland Art Center continues to accept the names for those who have suffered the loss of a child. There are only six spaces left. Please fill out and mail the form on page 5 if you’re interested in having the name of your child engraved in this bench. Please contact a steering committee member (listed on page 2) if you have any questions. As always, your input is important to us. Feel free to contact us with any suggestions, and also contact us if you would like to volunteer to become part of the steering committee.
