Grief…
There is no period at the end of grief
It dangles incomplete
Life interrupts
Theirs, ours
A child punctuates our lives forever,
His absence,
Poignant reminders

| Special thanks to all steering committee members for volunteering your time in planning our annual Memorial Day picnic and Butterfly Release in memory of your children, I particularly thank all of you that attended. In spite of the heat, we had a good turnout. It was truly a wonderful day of remembering our children and celebrating their lives- a day of appreciating the love and many gifts that our children have given us. Your fellowship and caring support created a comfortable atmosphere for all, and it was truly an indicator of the special bond that we all share. Thank you to the men that volunteered their strength in lifting a section of one of the benches and placing it upright on it’s base and off the ground. It was a relief to see that the fallen tree had not damaged any of the engraved names of the children. Thank you all for restoring the monument with the dignity it so deserves. Our memorial benches are a wonderfully everlasting way to memorialize our children. Currently, there are two benches with space available for additional names, one planned for the Maitland Art Center and the other for Lake Toho in St. Cloud. If you’re interested, please fill out the application form on page 5 of this newsletter. If you have any questions, please contact any of the steering committee members. I also would like to welcome all of you in volunteering to participate in the chapter. In helping others, we help ourselves. The chapter is always in need of volunteers; particularly we need help with the newsletter. With only two publications left this year, your help would be greatly appreciated. This summer, we are planning an interactive open share meeting where together we will make “Tear Soup”. A special guest speaker is also planned- watch for informational flyers! Registration is underway for those attending the National Conference in Hollywood, California this August1st. This promises to be an inspiring event and worth the effort to attend. Please see page 15 for additional information or contact any of the steering committee members listed on page 2.
Thank you all for supporting TCF. Diana
